Giggles Ain't Laughin' No More - #10 of 80

Artwork "The Clownfish's Shame" by Carly Creley
Giggles entered the makeup trailer to a slow clap from Honks, a frown from Trixie, and barrage of balls from Sam.
“What the hell happened?” said Honks.
“We’ve practiced that juggling trick a thousand times!”
“I was distracted,” said Giggles.
“Distracted?” said Trixie, “You weren’t even there.”
Giggles fell into his chair.
“It’s only one show,” he said.
“No, it was the show,” said Honks
“Smith was pissed. That may have ruined it, but I heard they were still pleased overall.”
Giggles began to clean his face.

“I don’t think Smith will care anymore,” said Giggles as another ball hit him in the head.

Good to get this chapter up and thank you to Carly Creley for her work on the picture for this chapter. If you know anyone who would like to work with me to create a picture for a chapter please contact me for details. Thanks for reading!

Delays, New Poems, and Working With Others

Promotional stickers for my book Fucking Poetry
It's been almost two months since I posted my last chapter for my serial fiction piece on this blog. I've been writing new chapters and I have lots to post but I like to work with artists for the cover photo and the latest one has been delayed due to her process and her busy teaching career. Which is fine with me really, I am happy to have anyone donate time and effort to contribute to my writing. In the mean time I have been working on revising and promoting my new Poetry book Fucking Poetry available on paper back on Lulu.com and E-Book all over the place. It's been a fun ride figuring out the world of self promotion and I sure wish poetry was more main stream because an agent would be dandy right about now. Maybe on the next book I can put out some queries out but for now I determined to do everything on my own and see what happens. I've had very good response, albeit small, to this book and I believe it stands out amongst the crowd, it's just time to tell everyone about it. That is why I started networking on Twitter a lot more than I ever have. That has been a fun adventure too since I have been heavy  on Facebook for years but never did much with my Twitter. After really working on it and learning the benefits of hashtags I have picked up a few followers and have begun to interact with other writers frequently.

While waiting for the next piece of art I have also began work on my poetry book dedicated to my Little Gramma and her house. She recently passed away at 91 and they sold her house which bummed me out and inspired me to share how much she and her hospitality affected me. So far these poems have moved me to some deep loving emotional places and I cannot wait to share it with everyone. We all loved my Gramma a ton and this book with hopefully do that love some justice.

I continue to work on my chapters for the Serial fiction story on this blog and once I get the artwork for the next chapter I will post it up. I am hoping to get the next 4 chapters out all within one month. If you want to get your art onto one of my chapters please contact me and let me know and I will send you a chapter to work on. If you happen to purchase one of my books, please review it and let the world know how awesome it was and how you will never be the same after you've read it, or you could be honest whatever floats your boat.

Thanks for reading and tell a friend!

Giggles Ain't Laughin' No More - #9 of 80

Artist Dustin Scott

“Crash!”
Giggles fell from his resting place then jumped up.
Tommy stood there, cymbals in hand, laughing hard.
“Oh my God, that was classic.” Tommy said.
Giggles smiled and rubbed his face.
Drool covered his hand.
“Man, you were out. I called your name twice. Then I had to take things into my own hands.”
This pun started Tommy on another fit of laughter.
“You’re an asshole.” said Giggles as he laughed lightly with Tommy.
“Hey,” said Tommy, “The Gang has been looking for you. I guess they’re wanting to practice after last night.”
“Ok Tommy. I’ll go find them.”
Giggles walked past Tommy down the bleachers.
“Crash!” again the cymbals boomed and startled Giggles.
He tripped on the last bench.

Tommy fell back, uncontainable, laughing hysterically.

Sorry it's been awhile posting my story. I need artists submissions so if you are or know an artist who would like to contribute please let me know. Thanks, and enjoy!

Published Poetry - New Book Out Today

After 2 years of working on this project we finally got it published. I am so proud of my wife Carny Val for creating the exact cover I wanted. I am so proud to have family and friends who supported me through this adventure and who helped me edit the book for free. I love all of you!

This book came out of a project of mine where I carried a pocket notebook with me wherever I went and wrote poems when I felt inspired. It took about a year and half to finish the poems then almost another year to get to this point. In that time I've written a whole new book of poems from my pocket and started the current serial fiction story on this blog.

If you want to check out the book you can buy it for a limited time for 20% off the cover price at the link below. Once I have it up on Amazon and available for e-readers I will let everyone know. Until then I am grateful for your readership and hope you enjoy my poems.

Giggles Ain't Laughin' No More - #8 of 80

Artist Violeta Angeles Brody
After Giggles gave the officer information for tonight’s show he went to the big tent.
His nerves were shot.
Adrenalin had been pumping hard for hours and he was mentally and physically exhausted.
The McKinsey twins were practicing in the natural light from the top of the tent and half lights illuminating the dark spots.
Giggles slipped in unnoticed and watched from the bleachers.
The girls rolled and swung in circles.
Dancing together in the air held only by cloth and thigh muscles.
Giggles laid down on the cool metal bench.
It felt soothing on his face.
He drifted off easily.

The only sound was the soft ruffle as the cloth wound and unwound from the McKinsey’s bodies.

Thank again for the amazing artwork from Violeta. Check out more of her work on her Deviant Art page here:

Micro Fiction - Once Along The Bell Tower

She looked in his vacant eyes. A pool of black ooze remained at the feet of the unholy creature. His gaping maw still open in ravaging suspended furry. Jessica brought the flame around and waved it at the statue. Just before it could seize her she had thrown the bottle of elixir down the beast’s screaming throat. As the witch had promised the prophecy was complete and the gargoyle was turned back to stone. Never again will Jessica be the same and never again will she play Once Along The Bell Tower.

Thanks for reading. Please let me know what you thought. I wrote this micro fiction as a challenge to make something from start to end with very few words but no less excitement.

Giggles Ain't Laughin' No More - #7 of 80

Odd Family Haunted House 2012

This is where it happened.
Looking through the back window Giggles smiles.
Smith is pounding on the roof.
“Don’t you fucking drive away! We're not through coward!” Smith yells as he blocks the car.
Giggles lurches the car backwards.
“What? Are you going to run me over?”
Giggles’ hands tighten on the steering wheel.
He revs the engine.
“Oh I’m so scared. You don’t have the balls!”
Emphasis on balls.
That was the trigger.
The impetus of the argument.
And the moment Giggles lost control.
The car came to a stop 50 yards further back.
Giggles got out and locked it.
“Thank you.” Said the officer.

“I have another question sir, please step over here.”

No artist submissions this chapter. I needed to something posted since I have been gone for a while. This is a picture of me at our haunted house a couple of years ago. Thanks for reading.
